When you book with Skiplagged on airlines that offer Basic Economy seats, you will see a notice on the final booking page that indicates whether the seat you have chosen is Basic Economy or Economy.
If there is an option available to choose between Basic Economy and Economy, your booking will default to Basic Economy, but you can choose to upgrade to an Economy seat (at an added cost) by clicking on the Economy tab:
